OVERVIEW
Minecraft is packed to the brim with ways to make your items powerful, but Custom Enchantments (CEs) add a new element of enchanting to the game. These special enchantments can be applied to your weapons, tools, and armor, and they can stack up to 3 only (meaning you can only have 3 custom enchantments on a single item).
CEs all have information on them. The first notable thing you would realize would be a CE's level. These can range from I-V, while not all CEs can reach level V. A list of all CEs and their minimum/max levels can be found by clicking the compass in the CE GUI.
To get started with CEs, use the '/ce' command on Survival or Skyblock (there are no CEs on Slimefun).
_ This is the GUI given when you use '/ce' (Style of GUI depends on texture pack in use)._
In the CE GUI, there are a few notable features.
- Nether Star (Tinkerer)
- Compass (CE Info)
- Anvil (Blacksmith)
- Sugar (Magical Angel Dust)
- Redstone (Magical Fixing Dust)
- Green Glass Pane (Common CE)
- Blue Glass Pane (Rare CE)
- Red Glass Pan (Legendary CE)
You can left-click on any of these items in the GUI to bring you to the desired location/outcome.
OBTAINING A CE
You can purchase CEs by spending your experience levels.
Common CEs cost 25 levels. (Green Pane)
Rare CEs cost 50 levels. (Blue Pane)
Legendary CEs cost 75 levels. (Red Pane)
You can also obtain CEs by purchasing from other players.
SUCCESS/DESTROY RATES
Every CE comes with two different percentages; one of which are the success rate, and the other being the destroy rate. The success rate is the chance the CE has to work and be added to your desired item. The destroy rate is only calculated when the CE is not a success. If the CE fails to apply, the CE will be destroyed, but the destroy rate is the chance that your item will be destroyed with the CE. It is desirable to have a destroy rate as close to 0% and a success rate as close to 100% as possible when using CEs.
There are also two types of dusts in the realm of CEs. These two dusts are known as Magical Angel Dust and Magical Fixing Dust. These dusts are respectively used to lower/raise the success rate/destroy rate(s) of your CEs. They can both be purchased for $5,000 each in the CE GUI by left-clicking the desired dust.
When you are ready to apply your CE to your desired item, place the CE on top of the item in your inventory.
TINKERER AND BLACKSMITH
The Tinkerer is used to turn unwanted CEs into Mystery Dust. Mystery dust is a special dust that can be opened and, upon opening, receive a random dust that you can use for future CEs.
An example of the Tinkerer GUI. Place CEs in the left side and click either red glass pane to receive your dusts
The Blacksmith is the CE version of the anvil. Place two same-level CEs in the blacksmith to combine them into a higher level CE. This does not work with combining items with items/CEs.
An example of the Blacksmith GUI.
REMOVING A CE FROM AN ITEM
When you would like to remove a CE from an item, you first need to obtain a Black Scroll. You can craft a Black Scroll from the Advanced Workbench (more info on that here). In order to craft a Black Scroll though, you must meet certain requirements. These requirements are different depending on whether you are playing on Skyblock or Survival. For Skyblock, one must have Galaxy rank or higher. For Survival, one must have level 50 or higher in the blacksmith job. You can also obtain Black Scrolls by buying or trading from/with other players.
Once you have a Black Scroll, you can simply drop it on top of the item you wish to remove the CE from in your inventory. However, a Black Scroll will remove one CE at random, so be ready to reapply any CEs you did not wish to remove.
