Been playing doge for awhile an seen jobs get changed and balanced many times but it still seems people think its unbalanced. So I thought I would give my opinions on the some of the jobs.
First I think jobs are split into 3 categories, jobs that you gain items from, jobs that you lose items too, and jobs that you can afk. For example builder is a jobs that you lose items too since you have to spend items to gain xp. An example for a job you gain items from would be jobs like woodcutter, or miner. Then there is the jobs that are just for gaining money, like hunter.
Second there are some jobs that are leveled just for the perks that come with them, like crafter and hdb.
Builder-
Atm I think builder is very weak, it cost blocks to gain any money level up in the job and you don't get much back, even at high level. Ive been on this server and played for more than a year now, and had builder the entire time, and have still not maxed it out. It is a job that can be leveled up just through time since building is an integral part of playing Minecraft, but trying to actually gain money from it is not worth it. The perks for the job are decent but take forever to achieve. I think to make this job better it needs a little buff.
Miner
Miner def has the most people but is not good at getting money. It is a job you gain stuff from while doing it but 99% of the items got are just thrown away. The mineablespawners perk is very good and well worth the grind, same with nightvision. It has been buffed but it still seems like a waste of time to grind for specifically money.
Alchemist
Alchemist is the worst job to grind money for, or at least it was. Trying to store the amount of potions you get would probably crash the server with the amount of chests required. To get to lvl 100 I have brewed 70,000 potions. This makes alchemist a job that uses materials making it even worse. It requires mass amounts of ingredients, and is a very veteran job. You have to have played for awhile before you can attempt this job. At first you will definite be losing money but after awhile you will be getting 5k every 54 potions brewed. The most recent buff has made it so you can break even and maybe make a little money but it still a slog.
Woodcutter
Bring back treefelling and this job will be viable again.
Hunter
Should just be nerfed into the ground since you can just put on a movie and autoclick. When A job has more than a page of maxed out people its too op.
